It's pretty quiet now that we no longer have cable. We made it to the library and checked out some books and dvd's but I've found myself to be more active. I cleaned my room and now I'm thinking about decorating ideas. I'd like to put a picture over my bed and I need something along the blank wall but I'm not sure what. A nice walk way rug would be nice too. If you have any suggestions let me know.

Step 2: Go to any fabric shop with the dimensions of your 3 assembled stretcher frames and choose fabric or remment with a design or swirls of color that include the color of your bed cover and carpet color. Ask for cuts that are 4 inches larger than the dimensions of the frame.
Staple the fabric to the frame starting with top and s-t-r-e-t-c-h fabric taunt to the bottom of the frame and staple every 1/2 inch. Repeat the process at side one and then side 2. The trickiest part is the corners which are cut on an 'L' and stapled neatly.
This is truly a DIY and it's fun. I've also seen it down with heavy gift wrap! You will need a good, heavy duty stapler.

A cheap and cheerful idea above the bed would be to draw out colours from Snafu's panel ideas. Buy a large blank canvass. Purchase a few small bottles of acrylic craft paint. Find various sizes of round jars or lids. Paint the canvas a nice background and let dry. Dip the circular lids in you paint that matches Snafu's fabric. Put the circles on the canvas. A few or many depending on how you are moved by it. Let it dry and mount it above the bed. Even using the eraser side of a pencil dipped in paint will make a nice effect. The most important point is to enjoy the process so you love the final products.

Snafu had the same idea that I had about the wall art. You don't have to buy stretcher frames, although they would work best. Any frame will do, staple the fabric or tape it to poster board cut to fit the frame. I did that and used a frame I had already to mount some quilt squares.
