Mail Order Perscriptions

February 26th, 2013 at 06:58 pm

I received an order yesterday in the mail.
It is $235.61 and due in 10 days.
After talking to the perscription call center I am not able to return the perscriptions (even though unopened) and I am responsible for the bill.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can get out of this? I wasn't expecting to pay that much and frankly, I just want to send everything back and be done.

Nearly all mail order prescriptions fill orders for 90 days. How does the price compare to 90 days at your local pharmacy? What price did you expect? Were you charged high set-up fees? How did you choose that particular supplier? Most insurers prefer mail order pharmacies & range of generic drugs.

I don't know of anyway to get out of it. Don't you need the prescription? Make sure you cancel any future auto fills on your account. It would pay to shop around for future needs before filling. I'm sorry...I know this wasn't in your plans.

Sometimes you may be meeting a deductible too. I wonder if you could talk to a manager, and work out a payment plan. Sorry you're having to deal with this Frown
