Refinance - Starting The Process

July 19th, 2012 at 06:16 pm

My house is my last and only debt that I owe. Church Hill Mortgage is unable to work with me because I have paid off and closed accounts and now my credit score is down to 610 and they require a 640. I was referred to someone that I am now working with as of yesterday. I sent him all of my info. Fingers crossed!

Good on you paying off debt which I am guessing were Credit Cards. Did someone advise you to 'Close' accounts with zero balances? What caused your credit score to drop to 610?

Have you started the process to prepare your Will? There are adequate, no cost forms on line which are a good starting point. Once you have assembled the information following the format supplied, you can print off several copies and have them reviewed and notarized by an accredited para legal or lawyer for a reasonable cost.

We used an addendum to list details of bank accounts,
cars, retirement a/c[s], life insurance & agent, valuable personal items since those can change over many years. That way on the addendum will need to be updated or modified over the long term.

I took Financial Peace University (Dave Ramsey program) and somewhere I mistakenly got it in my head to close accounts. The only open account I have is my mortgage.

Yes I have started the process to prepare my will. I have the forms (just need to fill them out). Thank you for the heads up on the Addendum and keep that up to date.
